Antonio Ríos presents his new book of poems, ‘La ingravidez que somos’ at the Mirador del Carmen Auditorium
The event will take place on Wednesday, January 31, at 7:00 p.m., with free admission until full capacity is reached. The poet will be accompanied by the poets Pablo Méndez (editor) and Pedro Villarejo.
The City Council reports that the poet of Estepona Antonio Rios will present his second collection of poems, ‘La ingravidez que somos’ (Ediciones Vitruvio), in the Auditorium of the Mirador del Carmen. It will be next Wednesday 31, at 19:00 pm, with free admission until full capacity.
With this new work, the author recently won the XI International Poetry Prize Covibar-Ciudad de Rivas.
The event will be presented by the poets Pablo Méndez (editor Ediciones Vitruvio) and Pedro Villarejo.
Antonio Ríos (Málaga, 1987) is an economist by profession, although his true passion is poetry. In 2021 he published his first collection of poems, Horizontes Verticales (Ediciones Algorfa). In 2022, several poems from that book were included in the anthology Raíz de Verso (Editorial Imagenta). That same year he won the first prize in the I Certamen de Poesía en Vivo Manilva Metáfora (Manilva Metáfora Live Poetry Contest). In 2023 he was awarded the prize for the best collaborative poem of the literature platform Letras & Poesía. In November 2023 he won the International Poetry Prize Covibar-Ciudad de Rivas with his second collection of poems, ‘La ingravidez que somos’, which was published by Ediciones Vitruvio in January of this year.
