The First Eclectic Estepona Golf Tournament brings together fifty golfers in Estepona Golf

The tournament took place last Saturday 27th at the Estepona Golf Course.

-The Estepona Town Hall informs that last Saturday 27th was held at the Estepona Golf Course the First Eclectic Estepona Golf Tournament, organized by the Estepona Golf Club, in collaboration with Andalucía Golf, the Estepona Town Hall and different companies.

The tournament, limited to 48 players, was held as a double round over the first 9 holes, with the particularity that the best result achieved on each hole in both rounds was counted. The handicap was limited to 18.3, and the format of play was Individual Stableford with a single category. This unusual but very interesting modality is known as Eclectic.

After the tournament, the participants enjoyed lunch at the restaurant of the Estepona Golf Club and then the awards ceremony was held, which was attended, among others, the Councillor for Sports of Estepona, Luis Miguel Gil Amores; the director of institutional relations of Club Estepona Golf, Alexandra Polacci; and the director of the Andalusia Golf Circuit, Luis Navarro.

The results were as follows:

– 1st Prize: José Luis Rodríguez Rodríguez.

– 2nd Prize and special prize ‘closest ball’: José Morales Montilla.

– 3rd Prize: Lucas Klein Salgado.

– 1st Classified Lady: Maricarmen López del Campo.

The first prize, consisting of a round trip flight for two people to Mallorca and two green fees at the prestigious Mallorcan golf course Maioris, should be highlighted. In addition, other prizes were raffled off courtesy of the sponsors, such as 2 green fees at the Estepona Golf Club, several bottles of Reserva Martín Verástegui and Vino Cremita wines, a dinner at the Trattoria Dolce Vita in Puerto Banús, and an Iberian ham ‘Popi’.

Currently, the Estepona Golf Club is undergoing a major renovation of its facilities to achieve a high quality course that competes among the most prominent of the best golf destination in Europe.
