The III Cycling Trophy ‘Villa de Estepona’ will open the XXVI Provincial Cycling Circuit Diputación de Málaga Road Schools 2024
The event will be held next Saturday, March 9, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the Fair and Sports Grounds.
Estepona City Council reports that next Saturday March 9 will be held at the Fair and Sports Grounds the III Trophy ‘Villa de Estepona’ cycling, first scoring test of the XXVI Provincial Cycling Circuit Diputación de Málaga, in the form of Road Schools, organized by the Andalusian Cycling Federation.
The cycling quarry will have the opportunity to take part in the two tests that make up this small but exciting competition, which will continue on September 7 in Coín, this being one of the novelties of this season.
The local event, organized by the Unión Ciclista Virgen del Carmen C.D., together with the Andalusian Cycling Federation and the Estepona City Council, will start at 11.00 am. There will be two different circuits, one for the promising and beginners categories with a route of just one kilometer, and another of 1.35 kilometers for the juveniles and children, to which participants will give a certain number of laps, according to their category: promises (7-8 years, one lap, 950 meters route); beginners (9-10 years, two laps, 950 meters route); juveniles (11-12 years, four laps, route 1.320 meters); and children (13-14 years old, eight laps, 1,320 meters), which will score points for the circuit.
For their part, cyclists born in 2018 or later years (under 7 years) will perform games and gymkhana under the supervision of the organization’s staff, not scoring for the provincial circuit. This activity will be arranged for the enjoyment and handling of the bicycle.
Registrations must be made through the website of the Andalusian Cycling Federation (https://andaluciaciclismo.com/index.php/smartweb/inscripciones/inscripcion/27470-III-TROFEO-VILLA-DE-ESTEPONA-) with a quota limit of 200 participants. The price is 2 euros for federated riders, and 7 euros for non-federated riders.
Those riders who have not registered on the date, may do so on the day of the race paying an extra 2 euros, provided that there are still places available.
The race office for the collection of bibs and registrations will be open from 09.30 to 10.30 am at the Fair and Sports Enclosure.
As it has already been included in the Technical Regulations 2024 of the Andalusian Cycling Federation, there will be no limitation of development for schools, so that they can use the one that best suits each of the capabilities of each rider.
