Estepona pays tribute to Diego Cerván with a Veterans Match at the San Fernando Field

The memorial will take place next Saturday, June 1, at 12:00 noon.

The Estepona City Council informs that next Saturday, June 1, at 12:00 pm, will be held at the Municipal Football Field San Fernando a ‘Tribute Match to Diego Cerván’, who passed away last year.

In the memorial, organized by the Club Deportivo Estepona de Fútbol Base, will participate teams formed by veteran players of U.D. Esteponera, C.D. Estepona, C.D. Sabinillas and U.D. Borgoroso.

Also participating in the tribute will be colleagues from the Local Police, as well as players from the National Police Corps and Civil Guard, and personal friends of Cerván, in the veterans category.

As a great sportsman, Diego Cerván was a soccer player of the former U.D. Esteponera and played in the Amateur Football League in his post-federation period. He also played for many years in the U.D. Borgoroso.

During his time as an officer, NCO of the Local Police of Estepona, Diego Cerván was part of the Police Football Association, participating in tournaments between municipalities and local police forces throughout the Spanish geography (Mallorca, Alcorcón, Granada, etc …).
