Jorge & Elena, from Art Gallery Franko, exhibit their pictorial and sculptural work at Las Tejerinas

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, June 6, at 6:00 p.m., and can be visited until June 19, with free access.

The Estepona City Council informs that the artists Jorge Franco and Elena Franco, from Art Gallery Franko, will show the exhibition of painting and sculpture ‘Art has no borders’ in Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, whose inauguration will take place next Thursday, June 6 at 18.00 hours.

The exhibition consists of a total of nine paintings and four sculptures using materials such as molten lead, pine wood base, coins and epoxy resin.

Jorge Franko Jimenez was born in Marbella in 1977 and has always been interested in art and painting. He grew up near the sea and since he was a child he was interested in telling stories with comic-like illustrations, that is why his works always have a story behind them, with bright and striking colors, and his themes are always very expressive. Since he was young he has always been fascinated by the power of the mind over art, in particular drawing and painting. Until he read the book written by Betty Edwards ‘Learning to draw with the right side of the brain’, and he was so enthusiastic about it that he uses the same techniques he learned in his classes with his students.

He has participated in numerous outdoor contests, he is also enthusiastic about making murals, and anything that takes him out of his studio he loves. As great achievements we can highlight the mural commissioned in the Church of Calvary in the city of Marbella, and several finalists selected in various competitions for exhibition.

In 2022, she exhibited in the Casa de Las Tejerinas the exhibition ‘Sueños marinos’ (Marine Dreams).

Elena Franko was born in the region of Krasnoyarsk, Russia, in 1976, although she currently lives in Spain. She is a lawyer, but her passion for art led her to join her energy with Jorge to create her most important project: Art Gallery Franko.

Painting has been her passion since she was a child. She graduated from the Art School named after Russian painter Vasiliy Ivanovich Surikov, in Krasnoyarsk. The main themes of her artworks are travel and nature, as well as abstract art and portraits. Love for life and meticulous painting of the world – that’s what he tries to show in his paintings. All his works are very emotional, full of life-affirming positive energy and a special lyricism. The color palette and composition of the paintings created sometimes go beyond the format. However, the artist’s vision stands out.
