Manuel Cortés will perform at the traditional ‘Fiesta de la Noche de San Juan’ organized by the City Council.

The Flamenco Night will take place on the beach of La Rada on Sunday June 23 and will begin at 20.00 hours with the performance of DJs ENZOBV and Miguel Carrasco, and the XLIV Contest ‘Burning of the Moustaches of San Juan’.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that next Saturday, June 23, eve of San Juan, will be held on the beach of La Rada the traditional ‘Fiesta de la Noche de San Juan’ which this year will feature a concert by singer Manuel Cortés. The performance will begin at 10:00 p.m., although the party will be enlivened from 8:00 p.m. by the DJs ENZOBV and Miguel Carrasco.

The celebration will begin at 20.00 hours with the XLIV Contest ‘Burning of the Moustaches of San Juan’. The neighbors build ephemeral ‘Júas’, rag dolls with which they make fun of well-known characters, which are finally burned at the bonfire. The City Council will award six prizes this year: First Prize of 1,000 euros and trophy; Second Prize, 500 euros and trophy; Third Prize, 300 euros and trophy; and fourth, fifth and sixth prizes, with 200 euros each for the most original, atmospheric and popular Quemas.

The Quemas of the contest will be lit at 00:00 hours, at the beginning of the Night of San Juan.
