The Clock Square will host tomorrow the free concert of the Orchestra ‘Malaga Camerata’ conducted by Santiago J. Otero Vela.

The chamber ensemble will perform pieces by Sibelius, Mozart, Brahms, Bizet and Mancini, among others, at 8 p.m.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that the Ensemble ‘Malaga Camerata’ will offer tomorrow a free concert, at 20:00 hours, in the Plaza del Reloj.

In the performance, included in the summer cultural agenda, will be interpreted pieces by Sibelius, Mozart, Brahms, Bizet and Mancini, among others.

Málaga Camerata is a chamber ensemble born at the end of 2017, formed by young musicians from the city with the common desire to create a space where they can develop in a professional way, ensemble music.

Founded with the aim of disseminating classical music and bringing it closer to the public, the Camerata is characterized by its versatility, addressing a wide repertoire ranging from baroque works to contemporary compositions.

It has been chosen by numerous institutions of the capital and province, to be part of their musical seasons, such as the Philharmonic Society of Malaga, Agrupación de Cofradías de Semana Santa (on the occasion of its centenary) or the UMA, being the ensemble that participates in its academic events since 2020.

Its commitment to artistic excellence and its dedication to music education have made Málaga Camerata a reference in the current cultural scene.

Since its inception it has had the support and sponsorship of the Fundación Musical de Málaga and the Asociación Amiga de la Ópera de Málaga (AAOMA).

It is directed by Santiago J. Otero-Vela, one of the current batons with more tour and activity. For this fact, and his commitment to the dissemination of French music and culture among others, he was appointed in 2023 Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Government.

For this occasion, the concert presents a varied repertoire that includes compositions from the classical repertoire, along with other scores from the world of soundtracks and popular themes. All this, to reflect the eclectic and diverse character of summer nights.

The concert program is as follows:

– Andante Festivo (J. Sibelius)

– Little Night Serenade (W. A. Mozart)

– Hungarian Dance n. 5 (J. Brahms)

– Selection from the opera “Carmen” (G. Bizet)
