The City Council will allocate 2.2 million euros to the new asphalting plan
In the next few days a bidding process will be launched for this program, which will cover almost fifty streets in the urban and suburban areas.
The Estepona City Council reports that in the coming days will go out to tender the Municipal Asphalt Plan 2024, which will have a budget of 2.2 million euros. This is the sixth program of action in this area that activates the Consistory and which will remodel and improve nearly fifty roads in the town and the suburbs, thus giving continuity to the conditioning that has been carried out in recent years in other main and secondary streets of the city.
A total of 43 roads will be intervened on, which have been selected on the basis of the deterioration of the road surface, although this number could be increased according to the needs of the project or as the works progress.
This new plan is in addition to the five previous ones that have been undertaken in the city and have involved the improvement of more than 200 streets and actions in about 300,000 square meters of surface both the urban and suburban areas.
This project complements the transformation that the city has undergone through the comprehensive remodeling of the old town and the beautification of the various enclaves that make up the municipality.
The improvement of the asphalting helps to reinforce road safety, so the Estepona City Council will continue to carry out new plans that will include both streets in the city center and in the outskirts of the city.
