A thousand people have participated in the various activities of the Summer Sports Campaign 2025
The summer program began on June 30 and ended on September 5.
The City Council of Estepona informs that last September 5 ended the Summer Sports Campaign 2025, whose activities have been taught by the Municipal Sports Delegation (DMD).
Since the beginning of the Summer Campaign last June 24, about 1,000 people (occupying 92% of the places offered) have participated daily in the sports sessions taught by municipal technicians, both in the facilities of the municipal sports center of St. Thomas Aquinas, and sports facilities in Cancelada, the Free Wave Sports Center (courses and water activities), as well as the Polideportivo El Carmen (Rhythmic Gymnastics and Karate).
The activities programmed during the summer have been the following: Aquaerobics, Aquamayores, Chess, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Karate, Swimming (Courses and School) and Pilates. As has been usual for decades, Swimming (Courses, Special Swimming, Adult Swimming, AquaMayores, AquaGym, etc…) has been the most demanded activity, followed by Pilates.
On the other hand, it is worth mentioning the outstanding participation of fifty swimming students in the XXXIX edition of the Provincial Swimming Circuit 2025 organized by the Provincial Council of Malaga, in which they achieved great results. Next November 14, the awards ceremony will be held in Malaga, where the members will have their deserved recognition.
With a view to the Municipal Sports Schools Program EDM 2025/26, classes will begin on Monday September 15. Since last September 1, TELEMATIC registrations for the next EDM 2025/26 season are being carried out, for which more than 2850 applications have been received.
