David Crespo (DCD ART). Under the acronym DCD presents David Crespo Design, an artist and renowned advertising creative, born in Madrid in the 60s. He has witnessed the artistic and cultural scene between centuries of the great metropolises, working in Madrid, London and Sydney, and now has his studio in quiet Manilva, a perfect refuge to explore his fascination for organic art, nature and the sea… and the inexorable passage of time.
This year, DCD presents in Estepona the preview of a new collection with color as a form of expression. A color that seems to have been transformed by the elements. The paint thickens on the fabrics, creating volumes that fold with force. The result is a plastic landscape that invites the viewer to walk through it with the eye and touch, discovering layers and textures that suggest the erosion of time and the strength of the natural elements.
Experimentation with deteriorated organic objects, or animal antlers, creates a dreamlike game of great impact.
His works are visual metaphors about the contrast of fragility and resistance, the ephemeral and the eternal.
