Begoña Morón presents the book ‘Eulalia’, a story of courage and adventure, at Casa de Las Tejerinas.

The event will take place on October 24 at 6:00 pm. Admission is free until full capacity is reached

The Estepona City Council informs that next Thursday, October 24, at 18.00 hours, will take place in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall of the Casa de Las Tejerinas the presentation of the book by Begoña Morón, ‘Eulalia’, a story of courage, adventure and mystery.

“In the first half of the twentieth century, the young Eulalia leaves her small village in the Sierra de Gata to cross the Atlantic Ocean in search of her dear and beloved husband Ramón, who emigrated to Argentina in search of a more prosperous future for both of them. After months without news and fearing that Ramón is ill or in danger, Eulalia, without ever having left her village, embarks on an adventure that will lead her to discover the kindness of the people, happiness, but also fear, disappointment and pain”.

Begoña Morón. Born in Bilbao, she carries in her roots a mixture of cultures that defines her restless and curious spirit. Of Basque descent on her father’s side and Extremaduran on her mother’s, she spent her adolescence in Zaragoza, where she began to awaken her passion for writing and reading. Her work as a civil servant in the General Treasury of the Social Security led her first to Tarragona and then to her beloved Malaga, living in different localities of the province, until currently residing in the capital of Malaga.

A lover of nature, hiking and travel off the beaten path, Begoña describes herself as independent, optimistic and sociable, but she also enjoys creative solitude. For eleven years she had the privilege of living in Estepona, a city where she shared unforgettable moments. That is why presenting her new book in this special place for her is “a source of pride and joy”.

Although she has written short stories, novels and children’s stories since she was young, it was not until 2020 when she decided to take the plunge and publish her first books: two collections of short stories and a children’s story. Her talent has been recognized on several occasions, obtaining the first prize in the categories of short stories and micro-stories in the I International Contest for the Feast of All Saints, organized by the cultural project My micro-stories of Zaragoza.

In addition to her work as a writer, Begoña collaborates as a columnist in the ‘Motivation’ section of the Digital Magazine of the Malaga Writers’ Collective, where she shares her optimistic vision of life and writing.

With her first fiction novel, ‘Eulalia’, she seeks to move and connect with her readers, although she is convinced that reality always surpasses fiction. Begoña Morón knows that there are still many stories to tell, and she will do so with the same passion and enthusiasm that have accompanied her throughout her life.
