Carmina Burana and the Concierto de Aranjuez, a night of fire and soul, at the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium

The epic power of Carl Orff and the Spanish passion of Joaquín Rodrigo will meet on the same stage next Sunday, February 8, at 6:00 pm, with the master of the Spanish guitar Rolando Saad, accompanied by the Grand Symphony Orchestra and Choir of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater (Ministry of Culture of Ukraine).
Estepona City Council informs that next Sunday, February 8, at 6:00 pm, will be held at the Felipe VI Theater Auditorium a concert that will unite two universal works: Carmina Burana and the Concierto de Aranjuez, a unique evening where the Spanish passion and the strength of the epic meet on the same stage.
The concert unites two universal masterpieces: the luminous Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo, on the 125th anniversary of his birth, and the explosive Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, in a dialogue between the soul of Spain and the overwhelming energy of medieval life.
Rolando Saad, master of the Spanish guitar, guides the audience through the gardens of the Palacio de Aranjuez, with a performance that has moved more than two million spectators around the world. Accompanied by the Gran Orquesta Sinfónica, Saad conveys the joyful and nostalgic spirit of Rodrigo’s most emblematic work.
Carmina Burana, an essential work for lovers of life, art and satire. With its powerful choral and orchestral force, this cantata based on ancient medieval poems celebrates hedonism, love, changing fortunes and earthly pleasures, while launching a scathing critique of society. First performed in 1937, it remains one of the most vibrant and popular pieces in the classical repertoire.
Two worlds, one night. From the delicacy of a guitar that evokes Andalusia to the incendiary choruses that celebrate the intensity of living. A concert to feel, to vibrate… and to remember.
Tickets are on sale at teatroestepona.com, and at the Auditorium box office the day of the performance, from two hours before the start.
