Casa de las Tejerinas hosts an exhibition of paintings by Swedish artist Jan Sallnäs
The exhibition will be open to the public until October 16.
Estepona City Council reports that the Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, hosts a new art exhibition. In this case it is the paintings of the Swedish artist based in the Campo de Gibraltar, Jan Sallnäs.
The exhibition consists of a total of 22 works, and can be visited until October 16, Tuesday to Friday from 09.00 to 20.00 hours, and Saturdays from 09.00 to 14.00 and 16.00 to 20.00 hours, with free access.
JAN SALLNÄS has been painting in oils since he was 11 or 12 years old. Painting has never been his profession, but over the years he has participated in several group exhibitions. After his retirement as a lawyer, he has had three exhibitions, two of them in Stockholm and last year one at his hometown golf club, the San Roque Club.
Painting has always been one of his two main hobbies. The other is golf, although until he was a teenager he considered this sport to be more of an old man’s game. Painting and golf became, later in his life, the two activities that made him avoid, in a very effective way, “thinking about pending legal matters”.
