The Estepona Town Hall informs that the German writer Claus Mikosch, author of the bestseller series ‘The Little Buddha’, will sign copies of his works this Tuesday, August 19, from 21:00 hours, at the XXX Summer Book Fair, which continues to develop in the Paseo Marítimo of the town.
The Little Buddha’ is not a series on Buddhism, but reveals the little Buddha that we all carry inside. A curious traveler who travels the world and always observes life with great fascination. No matter what situation he finds himself in or who he meets, he never lacks a question: Can one always be happy? Is it really desirable to be happy all the time? And why do so many people prefer fear to courage?
The journey of ‘The Little’ Buddha began in August 2007. Claus and his 4-year-old daughter used to walk near a Buddhist temple and she would ask him questions about Buddha. The author had the idea to collect the conversations he had with his daughter and write about it.
In each book, ‘Little Buddha’ poses questions about a different life theme: happiness, love, change, time, home and peace.
The series has sold more than 350,000 copies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Korea, India, Russia and the UK. In 2024, the first part was published in Sweden, the Czech Republic and Spain.
Born in Mönchengladbach (Germany), Claus Mikosch is a writer, documentary maker and astrologer. After leaving school, he traveled the world. He fell in love with India, studied in the UK and ended up living for many years in southern Spain. Today he moves between the different places he calls home, and continues to write inspiring stories about life.
