Commemoration: Cemeteries prepared for All Saints’ Day
The two cemeteries La Lobilla and Santo Cristo de la Vera Cruz have been prepared for All Saints’ Day (Tuesday, 1 November) and the pedestrian crossings have been repainted.
In addition, the city offers visitors a free bus service to both cemeteries on Monday, 31 October, and Tuesday, 1 November. The buses will depart from the bus stop next to the old cemetery on Avenida Andalucía. The route follows the route of the L1 city line between the old cemetery and the Acuarela stationery shop (Avenida Andalucía) up to Avenida Juan Carlos I. From here it goes up to the Santo Cristo de la Vera Cruz cemetery.
The buses will leave the bus stop at 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 o’clock and at 16 and 17 o’clock. Return trips are at 9.30 am, 10.30 am, 11.30 am, 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm, and 4.30 pm, 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm.
The cemeteries will be open to visitors from 9 am to 9 pm on Monday 31 October and Tuesday 1 November. On All Souls’ Day, Wednesday, 2 November, relatives can commemorate the deceased from 9 am to 8 pm.
