Education: Atlas America School officially opened

Mayor José María García Urbano recently attended the inauguration of the “Atlas American School” in Estepona. The school is the first school with an American curriculum on the Costa del Sol with offers from kindergarten to high school.

In addition to the US accredited curriculum, the school offers other benefits: Students can not only take intensive programmes in French classes, but also courses in entrepreneurship and subjects such as golf, football and tennis.

12.5 million euros have been spent on the construction of the school, which is located in Torrevigía near the “Selwo Aventura” zoo. The school covers an area of 22,498 square metres and consists of two separate buildings.
