Estepona celebrates the XI Interschool Tournament and the XI Intercenter Tournament ‘Estepona Vive sus Calles’ 2025, in which 200 schoolchildren will participate.

Both will be held next Friday, March 28, simultaneously, from 10:00 to 13:30 hours, at the Plaza del Ajedrez.
The councilman attached to the delegation of Sport, Luis Gil; and the monitor of the Municipal Chess School, Francisco Jesus Pareja, have reported on the XI Interscholastic Chess Tournament for Children Teams and XI Intercentros Tournament for Teams of ESO and Bachillerato, to be held next Friday March 28
Both tournaments are part of the cultural and leisure event ‘Estepona Vive sus Calles’, will be attended by 200 schoolchildren.
There will participate, respectively, a team of 10 players from each school, and the students of Secondary and Baccalaureate of the IES of Estepona, after free registration at the Municipal Sports School of Chess: escueladeajedrez@estepona.es.
The day will begin at 10:00 am in the Chess Square, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 13:00 hours.
The competitions of the Interschool Tournament will be Swiss system to 5 rounds, with a pace of play of 10′ per player, and in the Intercentros, Round Rubing to 5 rounds per team and 10′ per player.
In each of the tournaments trophies have been established for the first three classified, and diplomas for all the participants.
