Estepona City Council to expand its network of free sports facilities with two new paddle tennis courts in Nueva Atalaya

The new facilities will be added to the existing ones in the area, which include a paddle tennis court and a multi-sports court.
The Estepona City Council informs that it will expand the network of free outdoor sports facilities in the city with the construction of two new paddle tennis courts in the area of Nueva Atalaya, on the outskirts of the city. This initiative is part of the municipal commitment to promote sport and healthy living, providing accessible sports spaces for the enjoyment of all residents.
The new courts will be located on a plot of approximately 400 square meters and will be added to the existing sports facilities in the area, which include a paddle tennis court and a multi-sports court for the practice of indoor soccer, basketball and other sports. In this way, the Consistory seeks to improve the sports offer and respond to the growing demand for spaces for the practice of paddle tennis in Estepona.
The project, which will soon go out to tender with a budget of more than 90,000 euros, will have an execution period of three months after its award. The construction of these new courts will not only expand the options for sports practice, but will also contribute to revitalize the area and promote social integration through sport.
This action responds to the Consistory’s strategy to provide the suburban neighborhoods with modern and functional infrastructures. The City Council is committed to offering quality facilities in all areas of Estepona, guaranteeing free access to sports as a tool to improve the health and well-being of the population.
This measure reaffirms the municipal commitment to promote physical activity as a fundamental part of a healthy lifestyle, contributing to social cohesion and sustainable development of the municipality.
