Estepona expands its sports offer with four PickleBall courts, one of the first in the province
This Saturday, April 6, those interested in learning more about this new racquet sport in Spain, can attend an open day held by the Estepona Tennis Club from 10.00 to 14.00 hours.
The councilman attached to the delegation of Sport, Luis Gil, and the director of the Estepona Tennis Club, Alberto Gil, have reported today on the opening in Estepona of four new PickleBall courts, a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, paddle tennis, badminton and table tennis.
The municipal representative has expressed his satisfaction because the opening of this new space expands the sports offer in the city, with a discipline that is emerging in Europe and is very expanded in England and the United States. In addition, the mayor explained that these new courts are one of the few that exist in the province.
For his part, the director of the Estepona Tennis Club, explained that this new sport to be implemented in the town, is very fun and easy to play. It is practiced in a field of smaller dimensions than the paddle, using a larger ball than tennis and paddles similar to those used to play on the beach.
Also, Alberto Gil, announced that with the intention of publicizing the operation of PickleBall has been organized for this Saturday, April 6, from 10.00 to 14.00 hours an open day for the public of all ages, at the Tennis Club Estepona in the urbanization Bel Air.
