Estepona hosts the 10th Orchid and Collection Plants Fair on the tenth anniversary of the Botanical Orchid Park

It will take place on November 8 and 9, and will feature eight exhibitors-vendors and practical workshops on the cultivation and care of these plants.

The Orchidarium, consolidated as one of the main tourist attractions of the municipality, has the largest collection of orchids in Spain and one of the most important in Europe.

The Orchidarium of Estepona, which celebrates its first decade of existence this year 2025, will host on November 8 and 9 the X Orchid and Collection Plants Fair. The event represents a great opportunity to contemplate the fantastic botanical collection that houses this municipal facility, as well as to learn about the art and culture of orchids.

The Botanical-Orchidarium Park of Estepona has established itself as one of the main tourist attractions of the city. This is endorsed by the number of visitors, exceeding half a million entries since its opening. With more than 3,000 species of plants, of which about 1,500 are orchids, this center has the largest collection in Spain and one of the most important in Europe. Today, it is one of the most important stops on the routes that visitors to the city design during their stay, and one of the attractions most valued by the neighbors.

This X Fair of Orchids and Collection Plants will have the participation of eight exhibitors-sellers of companies from several Spanish cities and Portugal, which will offer a wide range of orchids, both decorative and collection, such as Flora del Trópico (Madrid), with orchids both commercial hybrids and species; Pantrópica (Malaga), with orchids from Southeast Asia; Carniloco (Cadiz), with carnivorous plants, especially of the genus Nepenthes; Todoplantbulbosas (Seville), African bulbous collection; Eternal Flowers (Lisbon), jewelry craftswoman using natural orchid flowers; Viveros El Jardín (Valencia), varied collection and garden plants; Uniqflor (Málaga), with orchids and araceae in general; and Kokedama (Málaga), with collection cactus.

The fair will take place in the surroundings of the Orchidarium, near Calle Terraza, and will be open from 10:00 to 19:00 hours on Saturday, without interruption; and from 10:00 to 14:00 hours on Sunday. Visits to these exhibitors are free of charge.

The fair also includes the celebration of practical workshops of cultivation and flowering of orchids and carnivorous plants. They will take place on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. (basic on orchids, in charge of Pantrópica); and at 5:00 p.m. (on carnivorous plants, in charge of Carniloco). On Sunday, the workshop will be at 11:00 a.m. (this workshop will be advanced on orchids, in charge of Pantrópica).

To attend the workshops, you just have to show the ticket to access the Orchidarium, whose entrance fee is 5 euros for adults (pensioners and people with disabilities, 3 euros) and 3 euros for children up to 12 years (free, from 0 to 6 years).
