Estepona hosts the 4th round of the XXIV Provincial Orienteering Circuit ‘Diputación de Málaga’, with more than a thousand participants.

The race for schoolchildren will start at 09:00 hours from the García Caparrós square, and the race for adults will start at 15:30 hours.
The councilman attached to the delegation of Sport, Luis Gil, has reported that on March 28, from 09:00 hours, will be held in the town the fourth test of the XXIV Provincial Orienteering Provincial Circuit “Diputación de Málaga 2025”, which will involve about 1,000 schoolchildren and 200 athletes from twenty municipalities in the province, aged between 10 and 75 years.
The Circuit, which consists of 21 days, began on February 2 in Villanueva de Tapia, and will end on December 14 in Velez Malaga – Torre del Mar, and is organized with the collaboration of the municipalities in whose municipalities the tests are performed, with the concurrence of the Andalusian Federation of Orientation (Malaga Delegation).
For the Estepona event, the García Caparrós square will be the meeting point for orienteering lovers, who will test their ability to navigate with the help of a map and reach different control points in the shortest time possible.
The competition will be divided into two shifts: in the morning, from 09:00 to 14:00 hours, will participate exclusively students from local schools, and the afternoon, from 16:00 to 19:00 hours, will be open to any participant who wishes to participate, after registration at www.clubcoma.org.
The terrain of the test will be mostly urban, through the historic center of the city, and has, among other objectives, to promote and encourage sporting activity in the natural environment, to publicize possibilities of sports tourism in the province of Malaga, and facilitate popular participation (promotional categories) and sporting initiation to the sport of Orienteering, in addition to the strictly competitive or federated.
