Estepona Town Hall celebrates Valentine’s Day with the workshop ‘The substitutes of love’.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, February 13, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with prior registration at the Municipal Women’s Information Center.
Estepona City Council informs that the Psychology Department of the Municipal Women’s Information Center will celebrate next Tuesday, February 13, Valentine’s Day, a new edition of the monographic workshop ‘The substitutes of love’. The aim of this activity is to raise awareness of how men and women have been educated differently in love processes, and the repercussions this has had on emotional relationships.
The workshop will be held from 10:00 to 14:00 hours at the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel, and will be taught by Ana Jesus Andrades Ruiz, psychologist of the Delegation of Women. All people need to love and be loved; their emotional balance depends largely on it. Women have been educated so that love is the fundamental axis of their lives. Therefore, participants will be able to reflect on some questions, such as: What do we understand by love, Is it the same as being in love, Is love a state, a feeling or a behavior? These questions will lead to a subsequent discussion.
After the presentation and delivery of the material, there will be an exercise of awareness, which will be followed by the workshop ‘How music, literature, cinema, television, advertising and social networks have influenced us in love relationships’. The day will continue with the presentation ‘The three Substitutes of Love (dependence, approval and falling in love)’, to end the workshop with the projection of the story ‘Cinderella who did not want to eat partridges’.
For more information and registration, those interested can go to the Women’s Information Center, located in the Town Hall, at Avenida Juan Carlos I, 24 (Entrance by Avda. San Lorenzo), or call 952 80 47 04 or by e-mail: delmujer.psicologico@estepona.es.
