Estepona will host the day ‘Awareness and commitment against trafficking’ on November 14th

The meeting will bring together professionals and citizens to address trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation from a social, institutional and educational perspective.
Estepona City Council reports that the city will host the conference ‘Awareness and commitment against trafficking’ on November 14 in the auditorium of the Mirador del Carmen. This meeting, free and open to the public, aims to raise awareness, visibility and promote social commitment against human trafficking for sexual exploitation, a problem that also affects the local level.
The event is aimed at professionals from the educational, social, health, legal, business and law enforcement sectors, as well as the general public. Throughout the morning, key issues such as awareness of the reality of trafficking for sexual exploitation on the Costa del Sol, the structural causes of trafficking, its link with the consumption of prostitution and pornography, and the role to be played by institutions, businesses and civil society in its eradication will be addressed.
The meeting will be held on November 14 from 10:00 to 14:00 hours at the Mirador del Carmen in Estepona.

With this event, the Estepona City Council reaffirms its commitment to the defense of human rights and the fight against any form of exploitation, promoting spaces for reflection, awareness and active participation.
This event is organized by the Child Heroes Foundation, the Center for the Common Good of the Francisco de Vitoria University, the Rotary Club of Puerto Banús and the Barceló Occidental Hotel in Puerto Banús, with the collaboration of the Estepona Town Hall.
