Estepona’s Fair and Festivities kick off on Tuesday with the opening speech by Carlos Moreno ‘El Pulpo’ on España Avenue

The City Council is working for days in the adequacy of the Fair Park and in the installation of the luminous cover that will welcome visitors.

The Caseta Municipal will host free concerts by artists of different musical styles such as Cepeda, María Peláe, Bertín Osborne, Nyno Vargas and Laura Gallego.

Estepona City Council reports that for days is working on the adequacy of the Fair and Sports Park for the celebration of the Fair and Festivities of Estepona, which will begin next Tuesday, July 4.

The workers are installing the ornamental lighting in the different streets of the enclosure, as well as the luminous cover that will welcome visitors to the Fair from 4 to 9 July. Also, work will continue with the installation of the attractions and the setting up of the Municipal Caseta, where free concerts will be held.

The festivities will begin on Tuesday night with the reading of the proclamation, by Carlos Moreno ‘El Pulpo’, Communicator and DJ of Cadena 100 and COPE. The event will take place at 21:00 hours, in the Avenida de España, and will feature a performance by the flamenco group of Lourdes Bazán. After the proclamation will begin the traditional fireworks display.

On the other hand, the Caseta Municipal will host during the days of the Fair free concerts by artists of different musical styles such as Cepeda, Maria Pelae, Bertin Osborne, Nyno Vargas and Laura Gallego.

Wednesday of the fair will be dedicated to the little ones, who can enjoy a children’s party at 19:00 hours with the Electroñecos Peque Show, in the Caseta Municipal. In addition, that day will be Children’s Day and the attractions will have a 50 percent discount.

On Thursday, July 6, will take place the Party for Seniors in the Municipal Booth, and will be enlivened by the performance of the copla singer Laura Gallego.

That same day, from 18.00 to 21.00 hours, the attractions area will remain without music so that people with extreme sensitivity to loud sounds can also enjoy the fair.

On the other hand, horse lovers will be able to enjoy on Sunday, July 9, the VI Concurso de Enjaezado a la Andaluza. It will take place in the Paseo de Caballos of the fairgrounds and will be awarded to the best dressed horses and riders in each category: Young Rider, Veteran Rider, Couple, Amazon and Rider.

Also on Sunday, the city will host the traditional fair bullfight, which this year will have an exceptional line-up. Six bulls from the prestigious Núñez del Cuvillo ranching will be fought by the top bullfighting figures Morante, Talavante and Roca Rey.

Tuesday, July 4

– 20:00 hours: A parade of GIANTS AND BULLFIGHTERS through the center of town will announce the beginning of the Fair and Festivities of Estepona, departing from the Victor de Serna School.

– 21:00 hours: Reading of the PREGÓN of the FAIR, by CARLOS MORENO “EL PULPO”, Communicator and DJ of Cadena 100 and COPE, in the Avenida de España. Performance by LOURDES BAZÁN’s Flamenco Group. FIREWORKS SHOW.

– 23:00 hours: INAUGURATION and LIGHTING OF THE LIGHTING of the Real de la Feria by the authorities, accompanied by the Municipal Band of Estepona.

– 00:00 hours: Performance by the Orchestra METRÓPOLIS in the Municipal Stand.

Wednesday, July 5th

– 15:00 hours: Fried Egg Day (free with a drink).

– 15:00 hours: Performance of the Group CALLEJÓN DEL JALEO in the Municipal Booth.

– 18:00 to 20:00 hours: HAPPY HOUR (2×1) in the Municipal Booth.

– 19:00 hours: CHILDREN’S PARTY with ELECTROÑECOS PEQUE SHOW, in the Municipal Booth.

– 21:00 hours: Performance of the Group of Ballroom Dancing, Cabaret and Oriental Dance of the delegation of Culture, directed by MARIVÍ RODRÍGUEZ, and the Group of Modern Dance, Contemporary and Flamenco, with Claudia Ramirez “LA MARIVILLA”, in the Municipal Booth.

– 23:00 hours: Performance by the DYNAMIC Orchestra at the Municipal Booth.

– 00:00 hours: Performance of NYNO VARGAS in the Municipal Booth.

Thursday, July 6th

– 18:00 to 20:00 hours: “Free horse-drawn carriage ride”, stopping in front of the Caseta Municipal.

– 18:00 to 20:00 hours: HAPPY HOUR (2×1) at the Caseta Municipal.

– 19:00 hours: PARTY FOR THE ELDERLY enlivened by the performance of the dance group of the Center for Active Participation of the Elderly, directed by Monica Peña. The traditional snack will be offered, with the collaboration of the Obrador-Pastelería LOS REMEDIOS.

– 19:30 hours: Performance by LAURA GALLEGO in the Municipal Booth.

– 21:00 hours: Performance of Spanish Dance and Flamenco Group of the Delegation of Culture, directed by LOURDES BARRIENTOS, and Classical Dance Group and Flamenco LOURDES BAZAN, in the Municipal Caseta.

– 22:00 hours: Performance by the Orchestra METRÓPOLIS in the Municipal Booth.

– 23:00 hours: Performance of the Orchestra DYNAMIC in the Caseta Municipal.
