Festivities: Carnival market at the weekend

This weekend, Estepona will host the Carnival Market as well as the first Drag Queen Gala Estepona 2023. From Friday, 17 February, to Sunday, 19 February, there is therefore a colourful programme with various points.

Friday, 17 February

5 pm: Official opening of the carnival market and parade with stilt walkers and music; starting in the centre towards Plaza del Ajedrez
6.30 pm: Mask workshop for children
7.30 pm: Clown show and circus acts
8.30 pm: Fire show “Incandescence”; lighthouse

Saturday, 18 February

10.45 am: Opening of the stalls at the carnival market; Plaza del Ajedrez
11 am: Children’s party with the motto “El super show de los punkilokis”.
12 (noon): Costume contest in different age categories (for children and adults)
1 pm: Various performances with Chirigotas y Comparsas
20 pm: Drag-Queen-Gala Estepona 2023, costume contest

Sunday, 19 February

11 am: Opening of the stalls at the carnival market; Plaza del Ajedrez
12 (noon): Circus workshop for children
1 pm: Acrobatics, “La Pluma” with “La Galerna
2 pm: Concert with “Ramoncillo de la Calle
5 pm: Workshop on making magic wands
6 pm: Balloon modelling workshop
7 pm: Acrobatics, “The Metamorphosis” with “La Galerna”

Admission is free.
