Pedro Guerra and Diego del Morao to perform together at the second edition of ‘La Movida Flamenca’ in Estepona

The musical show, promoted by the artists Daniel Casares and Javier Ojeda, will take place on Friday, August 1 at El Angel Park. They will be accompanied by the young Malaga Julián Bedmar and Ángela González.
Estepona City Council informs that next Friday, August 1, at 21:00 hours, the second edition of the great musical show ‘La Movida Flamenca’, a festival promoted by Daniel Casares and Javier Ojeda and driven by the City Council, which was a great success last year in its first edition in which both musicians were promoters and artists at the same time, will be held at El Angel Park.
For this 2025, the festival will feature Pedro Guerra and Diego del Morao as main artists, preceded by Julián Bedmar and Ángela González as young emerging bets. Flamenco and pop mixing in the most free and natural way, this is ‘La Movida Flamenca’. Admission will again be free.
The councilor attached to the delegation of Culture and Festivals, Macarena Diánez, and artists Daniel Casares and Javier Ojeda, presented the show this morning. The mayor has stressed the peculiarity of this festival, “which blends from its inception two musical styles”.
Javier Ojeda has highlighted the figure of Pedro Guerra, as “undisputed artist, who tours internationally and this time lands in Estepona,” and has advanced as a novelty the participation of new artists such as Angela Gonzalez, singer-songwriter from Malaga, Ojeda’s personal bet for the poster.
For the guitarist Daniel Casares, the presence of Diego del Morao in Estepona “is the best finishing touch that this festival can have”. In his case, he has opted for the Estepona native Julián Bedmar as an emerging artist.
The spark of the first edition of ‘La Movida Flamenca’ emerged in a Noche de San Juan, in which the guitarist from Estepona and the singer of ‘Danza Invisible’ coincided. From there was born this different project that, in no way, aims to compete with the festival maelstrom of recent years on the Costa del Sol, but seeks distinction in the commitment to quality and emerging artists, as explained by the artists.
It is not ruled out that Daniel Casares and Javier Ojeda, artists in love with their craft, intervene in some way in this festival promoted by the City Council of Estepona. In fact, both artists from Malaga have joined forces for a joint recording that will be released a few days before the event and will be presented at this festival.
