Photographer and writer Cristina Maruri gives a lecture at Casa de las Tejerinas entitled “We are all that woman”.
The event will take place next Friday 18, at 7:00 p.m., with free access until full capacity is reached.
The Estepona City Council informs that the photo-writer from Bilbao, Cristina Maruri, will give next Friday, August 18, at 19:00 hours, in the Alfonso Gil Alfonso Hall of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, in the Plaza de las Flores, the conference “We are all that woman”.
During the event, the artist will give her vision of women in the world, the result of her experience traveling around the world and learning first-hand about the life situation of women from all walks of life. “Because no woman can turn her eyes away from another if the latter suffers, is reviled; in short, forced to become a slave”. A path towards equality, which is conditioned and subordinated by diverse factors such as religions, political regimes, poverty or wealth, among others.
Cristina Maruri: With a degree in Law from the University of Deusto, she combines her work as a legal advisor for an industrial group with her humanitarian travels, as well as being a writer and photographer.
Regarding her literary facet, she is also the author of “Todas Mis Fotos Hablan De Ti” (novel), “Los Poemas de Nadia”, a collection of poems dedicated to love, and “Rosa a Rosa, Hoja a Hoja”, a combination of poems, stories and podcasts in which the author, with great feeling, has been writing throughout her travels around the world. Like the previous ones, her fourth literary work “Tell me a story and take me somewhere else”, was presented last summer in Estepona.
Likewise, Maruri has more than a hundred articles and reports published in several newspapers such as La Vanguardia and El Correo, with which he collaborates. Her verses can be found in the Estepona Poetry Route and also in the prestigious Repsol Guide.
As a photographer, she specializes in portraits of the third world, to make known and remember other realities and lives. She has exhibited in Bilbao, Santurce, Estepona and Saudi Arabia. Uganda, Cambodia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Philippines and Iran have been some of her latest travel destinations.
