Polish artist Aga Strauss returns to Casa de Las Tejerinas with the pictorial exhibition ‘Espejismo Andaluz’ (Andalusian Mirage)

The inauguration will take place on Thursday 13 at 7:00 pm. It can be visited until March 26 with free access.

The Estepona City Council informs that the Polish artist based on the Costa del Sol, Aga Strauss, will present the painting exhibition ‘Espejismo Andaluz’ from next Thursday, March 13, at 19.00 hours, in Room 2 of the Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores.

The innovative artist, who already exhibited in 2022 the sample ‘Colors of emotions’ in the same room, will exhibit on this occasion a total of 15 works framed in different sizes, mainly acrylics on canvas, in which you can appreciate his passion for painting and drawing. In this exhibition it will be possible to clearly see the development of the artist. Aga Strauss’ talent is encapsulated in her ability to turn her emotions into a wide range of colors and light.

The exhibition can be visited until March 26 from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 to 20:00 and Saturday from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, with free admission.

Aga Strauss (Agnieszka Rozek-Strauss). Born in Zgorzelec (Poland) in 1973, she has always been passionate about drawing and painting. At the age of 10 she started making portraits of her family. She graduated from the Faculty of Industrial Design and Jewelry Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lózd. Poland.

After receiving her diploma with distinction in 1999, she devoted her entire professional life to furniture, jewelry and interior design, working for local factories and designers. At that time she was also a full time mother of two children and whenever she had free time, mainly at night, she continued to draw and paint.

In 2006, together with her family, she moved from Poland to the south of Europe, to the coast of Andalusia, where for years she has devoted most of her time to painting and drawing in her atelier. Her passion for painting and drawing is evident in her work. Aga has explored her own pain turning it into an expression of self-knowledge and relief. Without fear and without limits, the painter takes us to know the tranquility and peace that can only be reached after going through the ups and downs of life.

Aga is a member of APLAMA – the Association of Plastic Artists in Malaga. In addition, she teaches painting and drawing classes with elements of art therapy for children and adults at the Centro de Artes de Mijas, and works as an interior designer.

During the last few years, the artist has participated in group and solo exhibitions in various galleries and institutions in Spain and the Netherlands, such as the Centro de Artes de Mijas, Galería

APLAMA, Diputación de Málaga, Ayuntamiento de Estepona and Sevilla or Galería Internacional Casa Adnew Málaga/Amsterdam, among others.
