The Estepona City Council informs that, after the resounding success of the first edition, the city of Estepona will once again host on October 3 one of the most important cycling events in the national calendar: the Costa del Sol Gran Fondo 2026, a cycling tour of international character, organized by the specialized company Terraincognita Sport, which consolidates the town as the epicenter of sport and active tourism.
Starting and finishing in the heart of Estepona, the event will be held on October 3 and will travel through the spectacular landscapes of the Sierra Bermeja and various municipalities in the interior of Malaga, combining natural beauty with a high-level sporting challenge. With a route of 130 kms and 3,300 positive meters, it will highlight not only the environmental surroundings of the area, but also its cultural richness and its tourist offer, consolidating the municipality as a reference destination for cycling and sustainable sport.
The Costa del Sol Gran Fondo will start and finish at the Fair, Sports and Leisure Center of Estepona and will pass through the municipalities of Casares, Gaucín, Cortes de la Frontera, Jimera de Líbar, Atajate, Benadalid, Algatocín and Genalguacil, with the mythical ascent to Peñas Blancas as the finishing touch, before descending to Estepona and completing the 130 kms.
As a new feature in the 2026 edition, when registering, you can buy up to 3 extra meals for companions. In addition to the five refreshment points included in the race, there will be a final meal at the finish line. And as a reward for loyalty, the participants of the 2025 edition will have an exclusive discount code of 15% on the registration.
