Road construction: Construction measures to prevent landslides

The Canteras Almargen S.L. company has started construction work on the La Malagueña road in Estepona in order to avoid problems during heavy rainfall in the future. The municipality points out that the construction work will partly lead to traffic obstructions in the next few days.

Similar work was also recently carried out on the rural roads of Los Polvitos and Marimacho. There, a 200-metre long, steeply sloping section had been concreted to prevent landslides during heavy rains. In addition, the road ditches were cleaned and the rest of the road was paved with gravel. The rural roads are now passable again.
