The Cancelada Fair will feature performances by Rosa Lopez, Amistades Peligrosas and Las Carlotas

The festivities, which will offer more than twenty activities for all audiences, will take place from next Thursday to Sunday, August 24.

Estepona City Council reports that the fair will be held from 21 to 24 August Cancelada. The deputy mayor of the Extraradio area, Begoña Ortiz, today presented the program that the Consistory has made on the occasion of these festivities.

Ortiz said that these celebrations are highly anticipated and appreciated by the Esteponeros and visitors, so the Consistory has worked especially in the organization of this event for Cancelada have in this edition with one of the best fairs in recent years. The Cancelada Fair will have in this edition with a careful organization and free performances by renowned artists such as Rosa Lopez, Amistades Peligrosas and Las Carlotas.

The mayor stressed that they have scheduled more than twenty activities that will be aimed at audiences of all ages.

The fair will begin on Thursday at 21.00 hours with the proclamation that this year will be in charge of Diego Barranco Mata, a well-known businessman based in Cancelada and had one of the most important restaurants in the 80s ‘El Caballo’. David Quirós and the dancer Ana Guerrero will also perform. Then proceed to the ribbon cutting and the inauguration of the lighting, to later enjoy live music by the Metropolis Orchestra. At 00.30 hours will open to the younger audience the Youth Booth, which will feature the best current music to enjoy the four days of the fair.

Friday will begin the day at 12.30 pm with the children’s entertainment show ‘La Caja de Música’ in the Plaza de la Juventud. At 14:30 will proceed to the opening of the Day Fair. Also for the little ones from 15.00 to 19.00 hours will be offered free inflatables in the Plaza del Consultorio. At 16.00 hours will be the presentation of trophies for the Football Tournament and at 17.30 hours will be the concert of ‘Alejados’. This same day will also be held a snack for the elderly at 19.00 hours in the municipal booth of the CEIP Ramon Lago and at 22.30 hours the Metropolis Orchestra will be responsible for animating the night fair that will culminate at 00.00 hours with the concert of ‘Amistades Peligrosas’.

On Saturday the fun continues with a water party at 12.30 pm at the Free Wave Sports Center and from 15.00 to 19.00 hours there will be inflatables in the Plaza del Consultorio. At 14.00 hours will be held the traditional paella by the master paellero Raul Postigo, which can be enjoyed free of charge and will be enlivened by live music of all times of ‘Grupo Latidos’. Finally, from 17.30 hours will begin musical performances with ‘Captain Vinyl’ in the Plaza José Vázquez Espinosa. At 22.30 hours will be the turn of the Metropolis Orchestra in the Official Booth and at 00.00 hours will put the finishing touch to this day the concert of the artist Rosa Lopez, one of the most beloved and charismatic singers of our country.

And on Sunday, the last day of festivities, will begin at 10.30 am with a rociera mass in honor of the Virgen del Purísimo Corazón de María, and from 12.30 pm in Montemayor Street, will be held as a novelty this year the II Concurso Ataviado a la Andaluza tribute to Don Joaquín Márquez González, breeder and horse breeder. We will continue in the day fair with the performance of the Group Latidos from 14.00 hours and inflatable attractions for children from 15.00 to 19.00 hours. At 17.30 hours will be the concert of the group Sótano Sur and already at 00.00 hours will come the performance of the Sevillanas duo Las Carlotas.
