Ana María Villalobos. From Barcelona and based in Estepona, she is a visual artist who mostly works with collage of out-of-print book pages on recycled support such as wood, cardboard, featherboard or recovered canvases.
Her work focuses on the female figure, exploring emotions and creating a dialogue between the duality of the book leaves, as a symbol of the traditional and the modernity of the young woman, along with contemporary techniques. Self-taught, she complemented her training by attending painting classes where she developed her personal language. Her exhibition career includes several solo and group exhibitions in different spaces, among which is the Botanical Garden of Malaga or Artlocker in the week of the arts in Malaga.
