The Casa de Las Tejerinas hosts the exhibition of paintings ‘Diverso’ by the artist María José Paneque.

The exhibition is open to the public until May 14.

The Estepona Town Hall informs that Room 1 of Casa de Las Tejerinas, located in the Plaza de las Flores, hosts an exhibition of paintings by the artist María José Paneque. The pictorial exhibition is entitled ‘Diverse’, consists of a total of 35 works (19 marine, 4 landscapes and 12 floral themed), and can be visited until May 14.

The opening hours of the exhibition are from Tuesday to Friday, from 09:00 to 20:00 hours; and on Saturdays, from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours, with free access.

María José Paneque. Archidona (Málaga). “As a child, I moved to Switzerland with my family. From an early age I feel great fascination for the world of the arts. It was in 2004 when my career in the field of painting began in earnest, in the workshop of the painter Manuel Pélaez, who gave me my first group exhibitions. My constant restlessness to go gaining stages to the difficulties, to evolve towards the improvement of my style, takes me years later to the academy of José Manuel Ruiz Blanco, where I increase considerable knowledge”, affirms the artist.

Her work has been exhibited in centers such as the Archidona City Hall Exhibition Hall, Bil Bil Castle, Casa Museo de Mijas, Diputación de Málaga or the College of Physicians. Highlights include finalists in the painting competitions Real Club Mediterráneo Málaga; ‘Los Sonidos del Río’, work selected in the XIII in the painting contest Fundación Agua Granada; the development and presentation of the poster for Easter Archidona 2023; or the Honorable Mention in the drawing and watercolor contest Felipe Orlando.

Paneque is currently working on several figurative series where experimentation and research lead him to develop new techniques and creative processes. “Light, color, beauty and movement are the main concepts addressed in my work and always adopting a contemporary vision,” he indicates.
