The City Council celebrates Women’s Health Day with the monographic workshop ‘Messages from the body’.

The activity will take place on Friday, May 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with prior registration at the CMIM.
The Estepona City Council informs that the psychological department of the municipal delegation of Women will give next Friday, May 30, a new edition of the monographic workshop on “The messages of the body”, on the occasion of the ‘International Day of Action for Women’s Health’, which has been celebrated every May 28 since 1987.
Women and men have different characteristics that must be analyzed from the biological, psychological, social and cultural point of view, thus identifying different needs, obstacles, risks and opportunities. Only by knowing and analyzing these differences in each context (not only because of their biological determination, but also because of cultural or gender determinants attributed), we will be able to detect inequalities, understand the reasons that cause them, act on them and establish mechanisms, conditions and actions that guarantee effective equality.
Thus, the objective of this free workshop is to raise awareness and promote health through the recognition of the healing potential of thoughts, words and emotions in the acquisition of an adequate quality of life.
The activity will be held from 10:00 to 13:30 hours in the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, and will be taught by Ana Jesus Andrades Ruiz, psychologist of the Municipal Center for Women’s Information. After the presentation and delivery of material, the program of activities will begin with a relaxation exercise, followed by the screening of the documentary “The Hidden Messages in the Water” by Masaru Emoto, followed by the presentation “How thoughts, feelings and behaviors affect our personal development”. After a time for questions and answers, the workshop will end with the screening of the film “Mayonnaise and Coffee”.
