The City Council contributes 20,000 euros for the care of the victims of the hurricane DANA
Resources will be channeled through the Red Cross and Diocesan Caritas.
The Estepona City Council has approved the relevant procedures to make a contribution of 20,000 euros for the care of the victims of the DANA. The resources will be channeled through the Red Cross and Diocesan Caritas, two of the organizations that are working directly with those affected in different territories.
In this way, the Consistory Esteponero wants to materialize its commitment to the people who have suffered the effects of severe flooding that have hit municipalities in the Valencian Community and other parts of the country, at a time when it is essential the collaboration of all, as indicated by the mayor, José María García Urbano.
The alderman wanted to highlight the work that both Caritas and the Red Cross have been doing in assisting the victims and has called for the collaboration of all through the channels for financial contributions that both organizations have active. Direct aid through financial contributions is one of the most effective measures in these emergency situations, since it allows these entities working in the affected areas to channel the needs to which these funds are destined.
On the other hand, the City Council of Estepona is also collaborating by providing the facilities of the Palacio de Congresos, where all weekend has been collecting all kinds of food and basic necessities, which are being sent to the areas affected by the DANA.
