The City Council increases the number of runners for the IV Half Marathon Senda Litoral ‘Trofeo Ikos Andalusia’.

The official T-shirt and the runner’s kit were presented today. Registrations for this race, which will be held on May 4 and, as a novelty this year, will be broadcast live in streaming, can be made until April 30.
The City Council of Estepona has increased the quota of runners for the IV Half Marathon Senda Litoral ‘Trofeo Ikos Andalucía’ to be held on May 4. The councilman attached to the delegation of Sport, Luis Gil, explained that “the call has been a success of participation and in just a month have already covered the initial 700 places, so the organization has decided to increase it by 50 more places.”
Registrations will be open until April 30 and can be made through the web https://faalive.com/calendarbd/current. The categories are U-20, U-23, Senior, and Master M-35, 40, 45, 50, 50, 55, 60, 65 and 70+, and a category has also been opened for people with functional diversity as long as they can prove a minimum disability of 33 percent.

The councilman attached to the area of Sport, Luis Gil and the technical director of the race, José Juárez today presented the shirt and the official kit of the race along with some of the sponsors of the test this year, as a novelty, will be broadcast live streaming.
The race, which will run for a total of 21.097 kilometers, will start at 09.00 hours from the street Montemayor of Cancelada, next to the Tenencia de Alcaldía. The first five kilometers will run through urbanizations of this urban center until reaching the first of the four refreshment points (km 5) where the route will begin along the coastal corridor until reaching the Paseo Marítimo de Estepona, which will be run by the participants until reaching the Puerto Pesquero (Fishing Port). Then they will go around the Lighthouse by the José Fernández Garrido promenade and will follow the route along the Avenida de España until the confluence with the Avenida Andalucía; they will pass through the Ortiz square to enter the Calle Real and at the end will link with the Avenida Juan Carlos I to the Parque Ferial y Deportivo and reach the finish line at the Athletics Stadium through the Marathon Gate.
The circuit will be controlled at all times by members of the various Security Forces, Civil Protection and volunteers. In addition, there will be checkpoints along the route, with the presence of judges from the Andalusian Athletics Federation. There will be four refreshment points at kilometers 5, 10, 15 and 19. In addition, the organization will provide buses for the displacement of runners who request it at
registration, to the starting area and a checkroom vehicle. Once the race is over, there will be no buses to return to the starting point.
