The City Council informs that the registration period for the Music Conservatory of Estepona is open.

The students, between 8 and 12 years old, will be able to take clarinet, guitar, piano and saxophone lessons starting next school year 2024/2025.

The Estepona City Council informs that today has opened the registration period for the Elementary Conservatory of Music of the city, which will start operating from September in the Mirador del Carmen.

Students interested in receiving musical training during the 2024/2025 course can register until April 30 for the following instruments: clarinet, guitar, piano and saxophone.

Registration can be done online through the following link https://www.juntadeandalucia.es/educacion/secretariavirtual/ or in person at IES Monterroso on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 9.15 to 11.15 am. Children between 8 and 12 years old can register.

The mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano, has indicated that the Music Conservatory will be a reality, from September, thanks to the collaboration agreement reached between the City Council and the Department of Educational Development and Vocational Training of the Andalusian Government. According to this agreement, the Consistory gives part of the facilities of the Centro Sociocultural Mirador del Carmen to the Junta de Andalucía so that this musical training can be offered in the municipality.

In this regard, he noted that the Conservatory, which for decades has been one of the main aspirations of the city, will be a qualitative leap in the broad educational offerings of Estepona, allowing new generations to enter the musical knowledge and train as future professionals.

The future conservatory will be located on the two lower floors, below the level of the current avenue, with a hall for musical auditions or conferences, theory classrooms, individual and group rehearsal rooms, and an exhibition hall on two levels.
