The City Council intensifies inspection work on public street terraces and outdoor cafés and bars
The campaign responds to the municipal interest in making economic activity and citizen enjoyment compatible with the increase in hotel and restaurant activity in the city.
The City Council of Estepona reports that during the coming weeks will intensify the inspection work, both terraces and veladores, catering establishments that are located on public roads and scattered throughout the municipality.
This is a special campaign that is activated, once the high summer season, with the aim of checking the correct fulfillment of the occupation of public roads authorized, is making the hospitality sector. The measure responds to an interest on the part of the City Council to ensure a balance between the activity of businesses at street level and the right of residents to travel on public roads, given the increase in economic activity that has been recorded in the city.
The intensification of inspections, which will be developed during the month of October and may result in sanctions in case of detecting any irregularity or breach of the municipal ordinance or the relevant permits, will be conducted by the delegation of Commerce, from where the relevant communications will be transferred to the establishments to make them aware of the development of this campaign.
