The City Council opens the deadline for submitting nominations for the ‘March 8. Women’s Day’ Award
Proposals may be submitted until Friday, February 16, 2024, at the General Registry of the City Hall or at the Electronic Office.
The City Council of Estepona has announced a new edition of the Award ‘March 8. Women’s Day’, with the aim of recognizing and distinguishing the work carried out in the city by individuals, groups or institutions in favor of equal rights and opportunities between women and men.
In this XXIV edition, the Award will be given to women of legal age, natural and/or registered in Estepona, who stand out for their career, initiative, creativity and entrepreneurial actions in favor of equal rights and opportunities between women and men in the field of the arts (music, painting, sculpture…).
Nominations may be submitted by any person or public or private entity located in Estepona, without being able to nominate themselves.
Nominations must be submitted by the person, group, entity or institution making the nomination proposal, according to the model attached in the rules, accompanied by a report justifying the merits to be assessed and reasons for it and / or Curriculum Vitae if it is an individual and / or memory of the project or activity.
The deadline will remain open from Thursday, February 1 until Friday, February 16, 2024, and the presentation can be made at the General Registry of the City Council, located at Avenida Juan Carlos I, or at the Electronic Headquarters: https://estepona.sedeelectronica.es.
According to the rules established for this Award, the assessment of the proposals will be in charge of a committee chaired by the mayor or person to whom he delegates, the deputy mayor of the Sociocultural Area, two representatives of the citizens of Estepona and a representative of the municipal delegation of Women, which may grant a maximum of three awards, consisting of a medal which will include the slogan ‘8 de Marzo Ayto. de Estepona’, and its delivery will be effective in the official ceremony held each year on the occasion of March 8, International Women’s Day.
