The City Council organizes a free workshop to equip children and adolescents with digital skills during Easter Week

The registration period will remain open until March 31. It will be held at the Padre Manuel Cultural Center in the morning.
The Estepona City Council informs that the registration period is open for the Easter Digital Camp aimed at providing digital skills to children and adolescents between 9 and 13 years old. It will take place between 14 and 16 April, and participants will acquire knowledge about the use of the Internet and digital tools in a useful, creative, safe and responsible way.
Like the camp taught in Semana Blanca, this new action will be carried out thanks to the collaboration agreement of the Consistory with the CiberVolunteers Foundation. The workshop is free, with DigComp certificate, and consists of a total of 12 teaching hours. It will be held in the computer room of the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with contents and activities adapted to each age group, from 10.00 to 14.00 hours.
In addition to learning how to search for valuable information on the Internet, students will learn the tools to create digital content, create secure passwords and protect personal data. They will also receive guidelines to verify information that is shared and detect fake news, as well as tips to control time in front of the screens. They will also learn how to take care of privacy and standards of behavior in social networks, to filter and search for information more effectively, in addition to detecting and preventing cyberbullying.
Interested persons may register at the municipal delegation of Youth through the mail animacion@estepona.es. Places are limited, since the capacity is reduced to a maximum of 15 participants.
