The City Council reinforces Christmas floral beautification with 23,000 plants

The city has been decorated with 16,000 cyclamens and 7,000 Easter trees in urban areas and neighborhoods.

Estepona City Council reports that it has carried out an extraordinary planting of ornamental flowers on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, with the aim of beautifying the public green areas of both the town and the suburbs.

The deputy mayor of the area of Services and External Control, Blas Ruzafa, explained that the arrival of Christmas involves a special reinforcement of floral ornamentation to create a pleasant and festive atmosphere that can be enjoyed by both neighbors and visitors. In addition, at the same time, the commercial activity of the city is boosted.

This year a total of 23,000 specimens have been planted, including 16,000 cyclamens and 7,000 pascueros, which have been used to decorate the feet of the luminous trees, flower towers, hanging planters and planters distributed throughout the municipality.

These typical Christmas flowers have been placed in the main access avenues to the city, such as Avenida Litoral, and other busy roads such as the avenues Andalusia, Spain or Juan Carlos I, as well as on the Paseo Marítimo and in the most central and commercial areas, including Terraza Street and Plaza Antonia Guerrero. Also, neighborhoods and residential areas of the suburbs have also been the subject of this ornamental performance.

The mayor stressed that the Christmas floral decoration also extends to urban spaces remodeled in recent years, thus reinforcing the image and attractive care of the city during these dates so marked.

Ruzafa stressed that these actions of beautification contribute to generate a festive and welcoming atmosphere, conducive to citizens enjoy Estepona, stroll through the streets and make their purchases in local businesses during Christmas.
