The City Council resolves more than 7,000 citizen requests communicated to the municipal service Línea Verde

The open channel of communication with citizens has registered more than 7,300 messages, most of them related to parks and gardens, sidewalks and containers.

The Estepona City Council reports that the open channel of communication with citizens to transfer incidents, Green Line, has registered this year a total of 7,374 contacts, of which has already responded to more than 95%, while the rest is in process.

The reinforcement made to this municipal service in recent months has streamlined the processing of incidents and communications transferred directly by the residents of Estepona through the APP Green Line or the web www.lineaverdeestepona.com. Thus, according to the first balance with data up to the end of November, it has already been given response and solution to almost all communications, once transferred to the relevant department and eliminated those that are duplicated (about 3%).

This service, in addition to involving the citizen in achieving a more sustainable municipality, greatly facilitates the daily management of those responsible for the City Council itself, being the most effective way for them to know, in the most direct way, the needs of the neighbors and the incidents that they may encounter.

During this fiscal year, most of the communications are related to containers, household items left on public roads or recycling, followed by parks and gardens, sidewalks and lighting.

Accessing Línea Verde is simple. Once the application has been opened on the mobile device, the user decides whether to ask a question or report an incident. The procedure is very quick. To report an incident, simply select the type of category. By geolocation, the Green Line APP automatically detects the exact coordinates where the incident is located.

Subsequently, a photo of the incident with a brief description can be attached. Once sent, the person in charge appointed by the City Council is notified of the incident. From this moment on, the procedures to solve the detected incident are initiated. The citizen knows at all times the status of the communication thanks to the notifications received on his mobile device.

Another means of communication is through the web portal www.lineaverdeestepona.com. Through this domain, the citizen can ask questions, which will be answered by municipal staff.

Once the communication has been sent, the people in charge of Línea Verde receive a notification and initiate the procedures to provide a solution to the request. In turn, the citizen will be informed of the status of the incident communicated through the app or the web www.lineaverdeestepona.com.

Línea Verde has proven to be an effective tool since it was launched, since it allows citizens to inform the City Council of incidents regarding various issues such as sidewalks and roadways, lighting, sewage, cleaning, street furniture, traffic signs, dumping or abandoned vehicles, among others. With this service, the Consistory establishes a direct channel of communication with neighbors interested in the improvement and good conservation of the city.
