The City Council starts a new edition of the activity ‘Spring of stories for equality’ with a narration by Alicia Acosta for adults.

The cycle will begin on Thursday, April 10, at 8:00 pm, at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, with the narration ‘They also count’.
The City Council of Estepona reports that next week will begin the fourth edition of the activity ‘Spring of stories for equality’, a cycle of storytelling through which aims to prevent gender violence and promote education in values. This activity will pay special attention to equality and the elimination of sexist stereotypes that corset both women and men.
The first activity of the cycle will take place next Thursday, April 10, at 20:00 pm, at the Mirador del Carmen Cultural Center, with the narration for adults ‘They also count’, by psychologist, writer and storyteller Alicia Acosta.
‘Spring of stories for Equality’ is an activity funded by the Andalusian Institute for Women of the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, under the Funds of the State Pact against Gender Violence of the Secretary of State for Equality and against Gender Violence of the Ministry of Equality.
This initiative is a continuation of the line of work being developed by the Municipal Women’s Information Center in the fight against gender inequality, with actions to raise awareness among citizens in general. The aim is to raise awareness of equality. In the words of the Councilor for Women, Julia Simon Ortega, “Investing in equality is to prevent violence.”
