The Estepona City Council informs that municipal operational brigades are carrying out an action of regeneration of the urban space in the surroundings of the residential building that borders Tres Banderas, Carlos Cano and Miguel Delibes streets. The works will allow the waterproofing of the area to prevent leaks in the perimeter of the building. This action is part of the municipal plan of improvements in neighborhoods that runs the Consistory.
Specifically, it will act on 170 square meters of pavement in an intervention that began a week ago and will last for a month.
The purpose of the work is to prevent runoff water from entering the perimeter of the building as a result of the subsidence of the subbase of the sidewalk. To this end, the demolition of the current pavement and the existing floor screed, the waterproofing of the area around the residential building, the construction of a new floor screed and the restoration of the pavement are being carried out.
Specifically, the existing pavement in the area, including the existing staircase, will be raised, followed by the demolition of the mass concrete slab, cutting part of the facade of the residential building and raising the storm drainage grating.
Once this work has been completed, a new waterproofing of the floor will be carried out and the new concrete slab will be laid. Finally, the old pavement will be replaced with 25 x 25 centimeter rustic stoneware tiles, the new storm drainage grating will be installed, and the facade of the residential building will be repaired.
The budget for this intervention amounts to 42,000 euros (VAT included).
