The City Council takes the activity ‘Spring of stories for equality’ to schools with the play ‘Neither more nor less’.

The story emphasizes equality between women and men as a means of preventing situations of gender-based violence.
The City Council of Estepona reports that the fourth edition of the activity ‘Spring of stories for equality’, a cycle of storytelling through which aims to prevent gender violence and promote education in values, will continue in a total of fourteen schools in the town with ‘No more, no less’, a story told by ‘Cientacuentos Cuentapiés’ that values equality between women and men as a means of preventing situations of gender violence.
This initiative is a continuation of the line of work being developed by the Municipal Women’s Information Center in the fight against gender inequality, with actions to raise awareness among the general public.
The activity will be aimed at groups of kindergarten or primary school, at the choice of each center, depending on their needs, and will run for days 6, 7, 9, 20, 22, 23 and May 29, at the rate of two daily sessions each day, one per school.
In the words of the Councillor for Women, Julia Simon Ortega, “the work from the delegation of Women shows us the importance of influencing an education in equality increasingly at younger ages, directly with children”. Similarly, the mayor is pleased with the good reception that had the first activity of the cycle, which began on April 10 with the storytelling for adults ‘They also count’, by psychologist, writer and storyteller Alicia Acosta.
