The City Council tenders the new asphalting plan that will work on almost fifty streets in the city center and the outskirts of town
The Estepona City Council has put out to tender the new Municipal Asphalt Plan 2024, which will improve almost fifty streets in the town center and the suburbs. This is the sixth program of action in this area that activates the Consistory, thus giving continuity to the conditioning that has been carried out in recent years in other main and secondary streets of the city.
A total of 43 roads will be intervened on, which have been selected on the basis of the deterioration of the road surface, although this number could be increased according to the needs of the project or as the works progress.
Specifically, in the downtown area will act on Avenida del Carmen, Avenida de los Frutales, Calle del Peral, Calle del Naranjo, Calle José Luis Díez, Calle Matías Prats, Luis Buñuel, Alcalá Galiano, Lazaga, Avenida Andalucía, Gabriela Mistral street, Unamuno, Juan Guerrero Díaz, De la Matilla street, Ronda street, Jacinto Benavente, Dos de Mayo, Libertad avenue, Terral street, José Santacana, Arrabal Industrial, Alonso Cano, Gutenberg and Newton.
In the suburbs, the work areas are as follows: streets Del Molino, Del Reposo, Caddie, Valderrama Golf, Del Aire, De la Estrella, Irene Villa, Del Salmón, Isla Verde, Del Dragma, Avenida Costa Galera, Avenida Mexico, access to the beach Costa Natura, access and parking Los Granados, Avenida Hacienda del Sol, Avenida Del Norte, Avenida De los Andaluces, Calle Somontano, and Calle Del Priorato.
This new plan is in addition to the five previous ones that have been undertaken in the city and have involved the improvement of more than 200 streets and actions in about 300,000 square meters of surface both the urban and suburban areas.
This project, which is endowed with 2.2 million euros, complements the transformation that the city has undergone through the comprehensive remodeling of the old town and the beautification of the various enclaves that make up the municipality.
The improvement of the asphalting helps to reinforce road safety, so the Estepona Town Hall will continue to carry out new plans that will include both streets in the town center and in the outskirts.
The City Council is already working on the design of another asphalting plan where new streets, avenues and accesses will be included according to their intervention needs.
