The City Council will continue with its plan for the comprehensive remodeling of neighborhoods in Tres Banderas

The Consistory opens the contracting of the drafting of the project to revitalize the area with an intervention that will affect a dozen streets and squares in the area.

The Estepona City Council continues to work on the special plan for the comprehensive remodeling of neighborhoods in the municipality and has opened the tender for the drafting of the project of an ambitious initiative that will focus on the area of Tres Banderas. The action, which will affect more than a dozen streets and squares, includes the renovation of the pavement, landscaping, infrastructure and street furniture.

The Deputy Mayor for Infrastructure, Ana Velasco, explains that this is an intervention aimed at the complete improvement of the entire set of streets. The proposed works will consist of the renovation of the pavement, infrastructure, landscaping and street furniture, with the aim of modernizing and transforming this infrastructure that was executed more than three decades ago to adapt it to the actions of improvement and urban transformation that are being carried out throughout the city.

The streets included (completely or partially) in the scope are Tres Banderas, Pablo Neruda, Santo Domingo Guzmán, Isaac Peral, Jorge Juan, Velasco, Gravina, Rodríguez Acosta, Escaño, Alsedo, Juan de la Rosa and José Luis Díez. In total, an estimated surface area of 11,300 square meters will be affected.

The intention is to renovate the paving and furniture homogeneously with noble materials and modern and efficient design elements, as well as a rearrangement of spaces, pavements, signage and signposting, and the elimination of architectural barriers. Another fundamental objective will be the replanting of vegetation and the planting of gardens and trees in the landscaped areas to be renovated in order to recover and beautify the existing vegetation.

The planned works also include the improvement of the sewage and water supply network with new sections adapted to current demands, new telecommunications infrastructure, improvement of the natural gas distribution network and the public lighting network, new irrigation network and improvements to the electricity network.

The base bidding budget for the technical services contract for the drafting of the construction project, construction management and health and safety coordination of the same is 133,100 euros (VAT included), with a three-month deadline for the presentation of the same. Once the project has been drawn up, the tender for the execution of the works will be issued.

This intervention is part of an infrastructure plan in neighborhoods that the City Council will carry out this year and which includes other actions such as the comprehensive remodeling of the surroundings of the Orquidario, Avenida Andalucía and Plaza del Ajedrez, for which

has already opened the tender for the drafting of the project, as well as the Plaza Fuerzas Armadas, Montemayor street and Avenida Marqués de Duero in Cancelada.
