The City Council will expand the network of public parking lots with a new parking lot in La Lobilla.
The Consistory is working on the specifications for the contracting of the drafting of the project.
The Estepona Town Hall is going to expand the network of public parking at a cost of 1 euro per day with a new parking lot that will be located in the area of La Lobilla. The Consistory is already working on the processing and will soon put out to tender the drafting of the project.
Continuing with its objective of improving urban mobility in an overall context of increasing the pedestrian area available to citizens, the City Council maintains as a priority objective to continue providing the municipality with new parking spaces for vehicles. With this in mind, procedures have been initiated for the upcoming tender for the provision of services for the drafting of the project for the construction of a new subway parking lot. This will be the seventh parking lot that the Consistory is launching under the formula of cost at 1 euro per day.
The sixth parking lot, located in the surroundings of the church of El Carmen, is at an advanced stage of construction and will have 322 parking spaces distributed in three subway levels. These new parking spaces are in addition to the 2,000 that already exist in the municipality with this parking formula distributed in the parking lots built in the San Lorenzo Avenue, in the new City Hall, in the Antonia Guerrero Square, in the Athletics Stadium and in the Chess Square.
This pioneering parking system, due to its reduced cost for the citizen, facilitates parking in the main enclaves of the city. At the same time, a valuable social work is carried out, since it favors the insertion of people with disabilities, since these areas are managed by the Association for People with Functional Diversity of Estepona (Aprona).
