The Classical Music Festival ends at the Plaza del Reloj, with a tribute to the video game ‘Skyrim’ by the quartet ‘Busker String Quartet’.

The Estepona City Council informs that the Estepona Classical Music Festival will end its thematic programming with an evening dedicated to the video game ‘Skyrim’, on Tuesday, August 5, at 21:30 pm, in the Plaza del Reloj, with free access.

The ‘Night of the Video Game’ will be in charge of the string quartet ‘Busker String Quartet’, formed by musicians David Gonzalez, Alfredo Reyes, Jose Luis Moreno and Fernando Arce, who will pay tribute to the video game ‘Skyrim’.

In the concert “Skyrim, The String Quartet Tribute”, Busker String Quartet seeks an approach of chamber music, and especially with the string quartet structure, to the new generations of public that consume content focused on the universe of video games and, therefore, also reach the societies and Internet communities that operate around the “Gaming” universe.

Also, in an opposite way, it intends to pay tribute to and bring to the consumer outside the world of video games the authentic musical and cultural richness that overflow the soundtracks and composers specialized in this genre so little known to many people in our society.

“Skyrim”, as a video game released in 2011, comes to be in the “gaming” universe the video game that conquered the RPG genre (role-playing-gaming) becoming a benchmark for this genre of open-world role-playing and fantasy. It has served as a reference for the video games of this genre that followed. It is a game with a complex plot, worthy of the world of literature, with an addictive narrative that has marked an entire generation.

The composer of this soundtrack, Jeremy Soule, has participated in the creation of soundtracks for more than 60 video games, including the “Guild Wars” saga, “Neverwinter Nights”, or the “The Elder Scrolls” saga to which “Skyrim” belongs, the video game to which this tribute is made and being this composer one of the most notorious worldwide in the musical universe of video games.

The Estepona Classical Music Festival began on July 19 with the concert of soundtracks ‘Great Myths of Cinema’, by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Malaga, followed by two concerts dedicated to Scandinavian music and Baroque music, ending with a tribute to the video game Skyrim.
