The Classical Music Festival presents the concert ‘A Night in Scandinavia’ at the Plaza del Ajedrez, with the Coro Joven Cármina Nova, the Lehmberg String Quartet and Piano.

Thursday, July 31 at 9:30 p.m., with free access. The program will include works by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo, under the title ‘From the icy Scandinavian lands’.
The Estepona Town Hall informs that the Estepona Classical Music Festival continues its thematic programming with an evening dedicated to Scandinavia that will take place next Thursday, July 31, at 21:30 pm, in the Plaza del Ajedrez, with free access to the public.
The concert ‘A Night in Scandinavia’ promises to be a sonorous journey through the landscapes of northern Europe: imposing fjords, tundra forests and the intimate atmosphere of their melodies. It will consist of a selection of works for choir, piano and quartet, and includes works by the Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo (1978-) under the title ‘From the icy Scandinavian lands’, and will feature the Coro Joven Cármina Nova, conducted by Francisco Ariza, the Lehmberg String Quartet and the Piano of Alejandro Ruíz Pérez.

The Estepona Classical Music Festival kicked off with a successful concert of soundtracks by the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra. After the Scandinavian repertoire of this concert, the festival will continue on August 2 in the Plaza del Ajedrez with a concert dedicated to baroque music, with L’Accademico Formato, performing works by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), narrated by Francisco Javier Carmona, and Juan Utrera as concertmaster conductor, and will end on August 5 in the Plaza del Reloj with ‘La noche del videojuego’, by Busker String Quartet, with a tribute to Skyrim with projection of images.
